May 6, 200521 yr Just a bit of help if you please guys.Am I correct with the order of installation of the following.1) Flight Environment, make selection and "Fly now"2) Select "Clear Skies (clears all weather) in the FS9 set up window3) Minimize FS9 and Load up Active Sky or default weather.I have read the FE manual, but it does not give the order of precedence of the various items to install prior to flying. Thanks
May 6, 200521 yr Flight Environment just replaces the textures for sky, water and clouds. That is done when you either run FE or the Randomizer. Then you just start up FS9 the normal way, and Active Sky, in no particular order. Sometimes I don't run FE for a few days because I like the look of everything as it is, and don't need the variety at the moment.
May 6, 200521 yr hi,1) Flight Environment, make selection and "Fly now", be sure you have also installed your selection of clouds etc within Flight Enviroment. There should be a button which lets you do this. FE will then copy the necessary files to your flightsim folder. Then start FS9 and load your weather program etc.hope this helps, ron
May 6, 200521 yr Many thanks for the replies folks. But having loaded FE Randomiser and FS9, do I still need to "Clear all Weather" before loading the weather programme? Thanks
May 6, 200521 yr Author I would like to ask one more question about FE. This will show my ignorance... After you set up FE or use Randonmizer and start FS what happens to the set up (weather files) afer you close FS? Does FS revert back to its original files when you start up the next time or does it maintain the last files supplied by FE? Well that is more than one question, sorry. Thanks, Carl PC AMD Ryzen R7-5700G (8-Core) processor), AMD Radeon RX 6600 Graphics 8GB/ 2TB HD + 500GB SSD, 16GB DDR4 3200MHz RAM, Win11 _____________________________________________________________________________________
