FSX Freezing, Causing whole PC to Freeze.

Featured Replies

This issue stared happening recently. FSX freezing causing PC to freeze. I tried to follow as many fixes out there. I also did a fresh new install, and I am still having the same issue. I made sure my drivers are updated, but no luck.

You need to download and run AppCrashView - http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/app_crash_view.html - then post the report here. I think you have very serious problems if FSX is causing your system to freeze too. I have a feeling it is your system or Windows installation that is causing the freezes which would include your FSX freezes. If you reinstalled FSX and that did not fix the problem and you are still having freezes, then it must be Windows or your computer system. AppCrashView will list all of your crashes but the most recent crash should be sufficient. If there is no AppCrashView report, then you will have to look in your Event Viewer. Page 2 of the AVSIM CTD Guide provides instructions on how to access the Event Viewer.

Where did the freeze occur? During flight or while FSX was being loaded? If during a flight, how long into the flight?
