EFIS not working, PMDG 777

Featured Replies

I have the VRInsight MCPII Boeing and running with LINDA module that works for many aircraft.  On the PMDG777 the MCP and COM panels work fine (all buttons and knobs do something when pushed / turned), however the EFIS panel does nothing.  No mins, no baro , no range, no VOR1 or 2, etc.  Nothing works on this part of the panel.

config-mcp2.lua file is dated 11/15/2014

config-hid.lua file is dated 11/15/2014

Any ideas on what I can do to fix this problem ?

thanks,

Hi Mark

What version of LINDA are you using? 1.13 or 2.5?  The dates on the config-*.lua are not helpful as they are rewritten every time anything is saved.  You need to look in \fsx\modules\linda-cfg\aircrafts\pmdg777\.  PM me a copy of config-mcp2.lua (it is too long to paste on this forum).

Hi Mark

Thank you for sending the files. Without sitting down with the 777 module (it's gone midnight here), I can't see anything greatly amiss apart from your config-mcp2.lua file calling different commands from those in the .default file. Try this for me. Rename the PDMG 777\config-mcp2.lua file to config-mcp2.old and make a copy of the config-mcp2.default file and renaming it config-mcp2.lua. Shutdown LINDA and FSX before restarting and testing.

Thanks Scot, that worked.  I guess something in the old file was corrupted.  Now all I need to do is re-program the custom buttons I had previously setup.

thanks for the assistance.

Hi Mark

Glad to be able to help. Remember with LINDA 2.5 it keeps time stamped backups of all your previous config-mcl.lua files. Look in \fsx\modules\linda-cfg\pdmg 777\.

Hi Gonza

Welcome to LINDA.  Before I can help you I need more information on your configuration and problems.  Saying it doesn't work doesn't help much.

What multipanel are you using?  Is it the Saitek one?  Which Flt Sim are you using? FSX or FSX-SE? What version of LINDA have you downloaded?  What aircraft are you trying to setup?  Email me a copy of your linda2.log file to [email protected].  Also include a cut and paste from the LINDA Console output.

With this information I will see if I can assist you.
