jaggies after 2.6?

Featured Replies

I enjoy Steve's Dx10 addon. I have a small issue and I am not sure how to approach it.  I installed simultaneously version 2.6 upgrade and Zinertek HD Graphic Airport enhancer that just came out.

Now I seem to have the following issues:

1. Occasionally  out of the cockpit view flashes black for a split second, both in the air and on the ground.

2.  I seem to have more jaggies--

Since Zinertek install has not "uninstall" option, I am not sure how to test a solution.

Until these two last actions, things looked great.

Hope someone has some suggestions.

Did you uninstall the DX-10 Fixer libraries and uninstall v2.5 or did you install over top of it?

Black flashing could be a sign of high settings that the GPU cannot handle given that you have installed Zinertek along with it.  I never install more than 1 item at a time without first testing it.

I DID install the library over the old ones. I'll uninstall DX10  2.6 and reinstall it, hoping that this was the issue.  As to GPU overload, I'm curious to hear from other Zintek users...

I didn't know that since v2.3 that you can install over top of exisitng versions and that the fixer notifies you to update the library upon restart.  I suppose it saves your existing settings as well?  I don't know.

All I can suggest is that you look at your DX10 Fixer settings and if you use nVidia Inspector look at those as well.

Here are my nVidia settings that I use with DSR on a 40"LED display and the scenery is crisp. DSR is now part of nVIdia 344.48 WHQL driver and later and can be found in teh nVidia Control Panel under "Manage 3D settings."

Hi Tony,

I installed v2.6 over v2.4 and I am not experiencing any jaggies, and I am pleasantly surprised that the fixer did not need any settings reset.,

FYI, I saw a post from MarkW re the Fixer and I have applied his DX10 Fixer settings which are very good.  I tried his Inspector settings but they did not work as well for me as I use DSR.

thanks. I've concluded that the occasional  "black" out of the window happen only with legacy aircrafts, such as ATR and CS 707....

For the jaggies, I will experiment with a few card settings to see if they go away...
