Volumetric lights

Featured Replies

Hi friends,

I bought both addons (Precipit and 777Immersion) a few days ago and I observed that there isn't volumetric light effect on tail (logo light). I don’t know why :( - what is the reason?

Landing volumetric lights works fine.

I tried reinstall 777Immersion, but it did not help.

Checked in night and low visibility.

I use DX10 Steve's Fixer and ran it just after installation FSFX to convert effects.

..and two more questions:

1. I see rain drops only in day time - is it normal?

2. I see dispersed light from virtual cockpit in night time when in METAR there is FOG only. Is it normal?

Ps. Is it possible [in future] to see strobe lights on wing tips dispersed in clouds?

Hi Lucas,

For the logo lights, here's what's in the manual:

VOLUMETRIC LOGO LIGHTS
Volumetric logo lights can be observed on the vertical stabilizer at night, dusk and dawn when the visibility is lower than 1/2SM.

For the raindrops, here's what's in the manual:

RAINDROPS FROM THE AIRFRAME

Raindrops will fall from the fuselage, the wings, and the engines when the aircraft is stationary and under rain. This effect is not visible at night to improve performance.

Can you post a screenshot of the dispersed light from the VC?

Hope it helped!

Hi Keven,

of course it helped! :) You confirmed that FSFX works ok. By the way - where can I find this manual?

For the screenshot - here you are:

...but - as I mentioned - there was "FG" in METAR.

Ah, Keven, what about this:

Is it possible [in future] to see strobe lights on wing tips dispersed in clouds?

?

Hi, you can find the manual in PDF form with the installer downloaded from the website.

For the strobe lights in the cloud, it's too early to tell. We are certainly working on it!
