December 27, 201411 yr I asked this before, but got no response, so I'll try it again. I have been experiencing intermittent changing to "map" while flying. I tried removing just about everything else before trying TrackIR. It appears that the problem stems from that program, which I cannot fly without it seems. There is no particular time when it happens, but seems more prone to doing it when I have zoomed into the panel and then back out again - but it could happen most any time - especially during turns. Everything is fine and then suddenly - "Map View"! I have been troubleshooting this issue for about 2 months now and tried to eliminate TrackIR from the problem area, but to no avail. I have even tried earlier drivers to see if it is the latest version only..... Sadly, it occurs there also. The problem is especially troublesome at landing. It freezes the last position when it does it, but just ruins the whole experience. Any ideas? John John Wingold
December 27, 201411 yr Are you using tracker within XPX or are you using a camera plugin? I've been using x-camera and have been happy with it. I have not experienced the problem you're having.
December 27, 201411 yr Author It's TrackerIR5. It didn't happen during earlier versions of XPX. John John Wingold
December 27, 201411 yr John, I have trackir 5 also. I don't enable it through X-plane. I use a program called x-camera. It's like EZCam or Opus.
December 28, 201411 yr Author I have trackir 5 also. I don't enable it through X-plane. I use a program called x-camera. Thanks mwilk - I had tried it once and gave up, but the video on stickandrudderstudio.com's website really did help and I am now using it. It works great. Thanks to you for leading me back to it, and to Stick and Rudder for an excellent program and apparent solution to my problem. John John Wingold
December 28, 201411 yr John, I was originally using a plugin called pilotview but it was hit and miss. I am very happy with x-camera. Glad it worked out for you.
December 28, 201411 yr Author Come to think of it, I believe that was the one I previously used and you are right in your analysis. Thanks again. John John Wingold
