annoying mouse click sound

Featured Replies

Could someone help me with this general (not FS related) PC problem?Whenever I left-click the mouse it generates annoying sound. Right clicking doesn't result in any sound. I must have misconfigured something since this sound is only like a week old. How can I eliminate this sound?Michael J.WinXP-Home SP2,AMD64 3500+,Abit AV8,Radeon X800Pro,36GB Raptor,1GB PC3200,Audigy 2http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/747400.jpg

when you click where exactly?

>when you click where exactly?>any valid internet link. If the link is not valid then there is no sound. Also double-clicking on any folder (not a single file) will create the sound.Michael J.WinXP-Home SP2,AMD64 3500+,Abit AV8,Radeon X800Pro,36GB Raptor,1GB PC3200,Audigy 2http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/747400.jpg

ah. an easy one :-)control panel -> sounds and audio devices -> tab sounds -> set either no sounds or for select or start navigation (i think) set no sound. if it's not that one, just search through the list.good luck!

Yeah the Windows sounds are really annoying. I have turned all sounds off except the Windows Standard sound (otherwise things like MSN Messenger trigger the PC Speaker). I mean I spend a bit of time and money making sure my system is quiet, so I don't want it to go *ding* and *click* and *poof* and *plonk* and *tada* all the time :-lol
