FSX Fatal error after new hardrive

So my computer underwent maintenance this week, which saw the hard drive replaced. Fortunately all my data was backed up and they encountered no errors in returning the PC to normal, it operates extremely well now. However since I have had the PC returned I've encountered two errors, with FSX and Aerosoft's GATC - All other programmes including ASN etc work without issues. 

 

With FSX I'm greeted with ''FSX has encountered a fatal error and needs to close.'' - Deleting my fsx.cfg doesn't fix the issue.

 

With Aerosoft's GATC, an image is displayed (below).

 

Does anyone have an inkling as to what happened?
