This might be a weird/random question but is it possible to turn off the sounds from inside the cockpit, more specifically the air conditioning that you can hear. Basically, I just want to hear the engines and that's all. (as well as GPWS etc)

Me too. Realism is great, but I just want the background noise down 50% or so. I've tried the individual FSX sound sliders to no avail.

Gents;

 

Go into the FMC...

 

Click "PMDG Setup"

Then "Options"

Then "Sound"

Then, where it says "Volume Levels", click "Adjust"

 

This will bring up your options. Set the "Ambience" to a lower number and see how you like it. Even with Ambience of "0" you can hear the engines and alarms.
