I'm looking toward fall when I can maybe upgrade my four year old PC to a much better machine and I can look to flying more than GA planes (my system just can't keep up with flying over 140 knts.)

But since I added a 40" monitor dual with 23"  and all my Saitek yoke, rudder pedals, trim wheel, throttles, switch board, flying has been so much immersion fun.  Especially in mountains, bad weather etc.

Cheers

Bryan

I have never ventured beyond a single flight stick for the hobby, but might as you did, one day.  I am still running with my posted system, that for the most part, keeps me near my 33 FPS self-limit. Even with DSR, set to 2.0/17.  Only one 24 inch Samsung monitor to view the flight world. At some point in time, I might treat myself to a total system refresh, but for now, the XPS rig seems to handle what I ask of it, with a GTX680 2GB'er tucked inside it.  I just added all of the files in the FSX Forum A.I. Ship thread, in the exact order as recommended for both FSX-MS and P3D v2.4.  Bryan, I most highly recommend you look into doing the same.  They are (the ships) very detailed, can be landed upon, if so choosing, and OMG....do they add to the immersion factor ten-fold, when taking off out or San Fransciso, and seeing them (in sequence) coming into (under the Golden Gate Bridge) the Bay, in the Bay itself, and some leaving for the open ocean.  WOW!  If you don't have this, I do recommend for your first view-flight, that you do this in a whirly-bird....so you can hover/lurk around them...and see the detail of the models.  Those behind this....well...first-rate work.
