December 31, 201411 yr I have an i970 3.2GHz based system with an ATI 5850 video card. This of course is an older system but FSX works well enough for me, I get about 14 to 18 FPS with the PMDG 737. I was given a Nvidia GTX750 1GB video card for Christmas (not the Ti version). Will this low end card provide any performance benefit over what I have already, or should I stick it on eBay :-)
December 31, 201411 yr The only benefit would be that nvidia gcard drivers are far more FSX friendly. Performance wise it may be a wash, with the nvidia card slightly less capable but more energy efficient (if that happens be matter). January 3, 201511 yr Author Thanks - I swapped the cards over. The 750 has similar frame rates but overall less stutter and a smoother flying experience. P3D is markedly better with a 50% improvement in frame rates. Thanks for the advice.
