Most people are asking if FSX Steam edition works with ASN, but I have AS2012.  Does AS2012 work in FSX Steam Edition?

It will, I've been using it.

 

First you have to install the legacy SimConnect modules located in the SDK folder in the FSX-SE main directory. (Sorry, I'm not at my computer at the moment, so I don't know the location under steam...something like steam\steamapps\common\FSX\SDK\Core Utilities Kit\SimConnect)

 

After that, it will connect like normal.
