I'm really getting into this 'hybrid' mode of float plane/ boat interaction with my flight sims.

 

I fly over a region...and if I want to explore more detail...I land on a lake or river and upon landing the float plane, replace it with a boat of any type.

 

I am presently doing that within ORBX Norway for the past two hours..and am having a ball doing it.   Great interaction from this quality scenery....see what I want in overview from the air...and then land...and cruise the waterways to take in the great detail of terrain and autogen.

 

Truly the best of both worlds...and maxing out the scenic value and objects of both  FSX:MS and P3D v2.4
