January 10, 201511 yr Hi, I have an issue with loading the panel state on the 737NGX. When I load the 737 i let it start the default flight and let the systems initialise. Then I go to FMC-> PMDG SETUP--> STATE LOAD --> CLD DRK Then nothing happends or it looks like it will load the exact same panel state as before and will start the initialisation countdown. I am running FSX as admin. Could there be a way that I have overwritten the .sav files from CLDDRK? Because in my startup state it says NGX CLDDRK (think I gve that name) and should have loaded this state. Your help is greatly appreciated. Best regards Rob Kablau Best regards Rob Kablau
January 11, 201511 yr When you save a flight you save a panel with it. The panel file adopts the name of the saved flight, but if it's the same state as cold and dark then loading the CLDDRK panel will initialize then appear to do nothing because it's the same state. You can verify your CLDDRK panel file is original by looking in the PMDG\737 NGX\PANEL STATE folder. The file date for the PMDG provided panel states should be much older than the date on your saved flights. See also Introduction document that discusses saved flights and panels. \ Dan Downs KCRP
January 11, 201511 yr Author I think thats where it had all gone wrong, my NGX CLDDRK.sav and .fmc are both from 30-12-2-14. I must have accidently overwritten them Is there a way to restore? Or does that require a reinstall of the PMDG? Thanks for the help Best regards Rob Kablau
January 12, 201511 yr Try running the installer and select REPAIR, that should do it. You can always create your own panel states; I prefer my own ground air and power panels instead of the default SHORT. It's very rare when flight crew enter a cold and dark cockpit, they are either on a short or long turn around or maintenance has been in there ahead of them doing their checks. Dan Downs KCRP
January 12, 201511 yr Author Cool Ill try that. Thanks for the help. I personally love Cold and Dark, but obviously everybody has got their own favorite panel state. Good feature from PMDG to have that option.;-) Best regards Rob Kablau
January 13, 201511 yr Author Problem solved. In the end I had to remove and reinstall. Repair did not work. But all working perfect again :-) Best regards Rob Kablau
