Can FSX Be Reconfigure To Make OutSide View Fixed?

Featured Replies

You know how you view outside the aircraft in 2004 and when you put in fixed instead of roll nothing moves but the aircraft.  How can I re-configure FSX so it will be fixed like in 2004?  The lock spot in FSX still has the scenery moving and I don't like that.  Anyone know how to do that?  Thanks for reading my post.

You need to change a camera view in your camera.cfg file.  Make the Locked Spot into a Fixed Spot by following this example.  However before making any changes backup your original camera.cfg in case you don't want the change later.  I am trying to figure out how to copy and paste into this reply but as yet have not found a way.  I will post another reply when I figure it out.  fisheye

I found a way by pressing on the left hand button above changing the BB code mode. Now I can paste into the messages.

At first I just did number 3 ... then I tried doing 3 and 4 ... What did I do wrong?  Also I don't understand why we can't show our rigs in the sig anymore.

It is a bit jerky ... can I do something to smooth it out otherwise it's great.

You didn't actually change anything in Camera definition 4.   I tried Camera definition three as you posted it does work on it's own except instant replay is no longer useable as it requires fixed spot.

Okay on 4 not doing anything, but I am able to get instant replay in fixed spot ... that how I checked to see if it worked.  I don't understand why you are not getting it.

I get instant replay however without the traditional fixed spot it is very jerky.
