  1. I am using three screens for FSX. I am having a problem getting FSINN to load when I go to a airport with 3rd party scenery. In order to get on FSINN I have to go to an airport that does not have any 3rd party scenery. Get FSINN loaded, then go to the airport with the 3rd party scenery. Not only that whether default scenery or 3rd party I will see it in my side monitors, but not my main monitor. In order to clear that up I have to exit the flight, then reenter it. Also after getting the scenery in all three screens I can fly to another area with 3rd party software and have the same problem where I can't see it in my middle screen but see it in the side monitor. I never had this problem when I used one screen so it has to be related to the multiple screens ... is anyone else having this problem???
  2. This is on my FS 9 computer ... the specs are in my sig, but they won't let you post it ... I guess you can access it. I have no control over the throttle. I have the analog CH Product throttle and combat stick hooked together and hooked into a Manhattan gameport to USB adapter. The game sees the sticks and the computer sees it too. It just when out on me while I was flying a Bell 206B Jet Ranger. When I go into the joystick assignments and use the slider on the throttle it responds but not during flight. I tried flying a fix wing craft with the same results no throttle control at all. Everything else works fine. Anyone else having this or had this problem???
  3. Well sir ... I got it together! It was the Kensington adapter driver that was the problem. I had installed the wrong driver .... I had the driver for the 3.0 USB when the adapter I have is 2.0 USB .... Called Kensington tech support. He showed me what to do and where to get the correct driver and how to set up the adapter ... I had to unhook the adapter and uninstalled all its software. Then I had to reinstall the correct software and then restart the computer. Once booted up again. I hooked up the adapter. I was able to use the extend option and I had my three screens. All I had to do is go into windows display properties identify the screens made the middle my main screen and got them in order for the mouse to move back and forth between screens and that's it. Thanks for reading my post.
  4. Okay ... I just got another monitor so I could set up my XP machine with 3 monitors to use in FS 2004. I have the Kensington adapter for the left display to USB hook up to USB port on mobo. It has a config panel, in the system tray, but it had not proven helpful. There is a "Kensington Display-link Manager" option that is nothing more than a icon tell me the version. There is a "Kensington Universal Multi-Display Adapter, which leads to a side menu ... "extend to", "extend" "set as main monitor" "mirror" and "off". If I don't have it set to "mirror" I won't get an image on the left screen. I get displays on all three monitors. The problem is what windows has identified as 2 is being cloned with the main screen ... which means I can't get a side window in FS9 only a clone of the main window. When I ask windows to identify the monitors, it shows the left screen (adapter hook up) and the middle screen as 3 and the right screen as 1. Windows XP is looking at the adapter as another graphic card. In the XP display properties it sees all three screens and have them listed 3, 1 and 2. 1 and 3 are highlighted and 2 is greyed out ... when I click on 2 to highlight it the name in the display drop down box will change from the GTX 280 to the Kensington display adapter. If I try to check the "extend my windows desktop onto this monitor", I will get a fast blink from the monitors and the check is removed from the box. In the Nvidia control panel under set up multiple displays I have a mark in the circle "Configured independently from each other (Dualview) It is showing the monitors plugged into the card but not the one plugged into the adapter. The option of "my display is not shown only makes it think I have a tv hooked up and will still show a mirror/clone image. In the "select the displays you would like to use" only the monitors hooked up to the GTX 280 are listed. But even when it thinks the one monitor is a tv it will only give me a choice of two monitors of the three listed in several different order. I did install the driver for the adapter from the Kensington web site. If anyone knows how I can get my left screen to show the left side in FS9 please post. Golly gee I'm sure people have run multiple monitors in XP while flying ... right? Thanks for reading my post.
  5. That did the trick ... I delete all the files with the key icons and left the text file. X Plane put them back when I opened it again, and I was back in windows mode. Thanks
  6. It's not in windows at all ... I can't do any resizing I'm running XP with two monitors ... in windows mode I have access to the second monitor in full screen I don't. I had my system listed in my sig but we can use them for some strange reason.
  7. This is on my 32 bit machine ... I tried checking the full screen box to see what the full screen mode looked like ... didn't like it unchecked the box ... nothing ... quit the program had a cold boot ... problem remains. I uncheck and recheck and uncheck again the full screen box and nothing happens it stays in full screen. The list for resolutions is not grayed out when unchecked. How can this be fixed? My driver has been updated.
  8. I've been trying to download the vector 120 patch at FTX and each time I try ... I can only get so far and I get unknown server errors or can't find server. I have tried several times and the problem is it won't resume where it leaves off it will start all over again and it take me about 8 hours to download it with the downloader which I have to use otherwise I won't be able to open the files. Once I had 80% of the files before it stopped on me claiming unknown server and server error. Anyone else having this problem?
  9. When I hooked up my serial stick to the manhattan adapter I lost my point of view function and the ability to cycle through the view around the aircraft. I will see if I can find what you are talking about and get back.
  10. As I mention before ... with the adapter I loose the full function of the combat stick. And when some thing works well why change it? Old doesn't mean no good. At least in my book. I am very disappointed X Plane did this. -_- Will I at least be able to assign the buttons in XPlane with the usb adapter?
  11. <_< Well sir ... I found my answer in the online manual ... Note: X‑Plane can only interface with USB devices. This covers nearly all the controllers manufactured in the last ten years, but if you have a non-USB device, an adapter will be needed to change it to a USB input. That's bad news ...while I have the adapters to run the analog devices I will have to keep switching back and forth so I will have full function of the stick in FS 2004. Oh dear -_- .
  12. I know XP can see the analog stick and throttle because it works fine in FS2004, and X Wing. So the stick works ... it looks like X Plane isn't see it. The problem with the adapter is I won't have all the controls I have while plugged into the serial port. I'm shocked the X Plane will only look at USB hook ups. Seems to me if the OS can use it XPlane should too. I did get the USB controls on my other rig to work. X Plane asked about calibrating and I told it yes, then I was able to see responses on the slides. When I first installed X Plane on the XP machine it asked about calibrating, but I told it no. How do I get it to ask me that again?
  13. Same problem with my FSX rig ... the CH Product USB stick and throttle won't work ... just get a response from the rudder pedals ... works fine on FSX.
  14. I just install XPlane 10 on my 32 bit system and my analog stick and throttle won't work ... I have usb rudder pedals and they work but not the analog ... what is the problem? They work fine in MSFS 2004.
  15. Well sir ... I got it together ... my instructor showed me how to get the three screens going. First of all I didn't need to go into full screen mode like I saw on youtube. I had to hit the [ key and right click on the new window and clicked undock window in the menu. Then I dragged the new window over to my left, then right screen using the same procedure. Then I had to right click on each window on the sides and choose V cockpit, then used my POV on my stick to turn the view to the side. I lined every thing up with my POV, then saved the flight. So I have my three screens for the sim and the 4th for the map on line. B)
