January 11, 201511 yr Hi all,In planning to complete my home cockpit build, I purchased another HDTV to use as the monitor. I now have 2 HDTV's set up, one as the primary (front-facing) monitor, another for the size. I'm having some issues with the FPS dropping considerably (halfish) when I create a new Window to drag to my left monitor for the side-view. I'm averaging around 25 FPS in one mode, and it drops to about 8-10 FPS with 2 views.System Stats:Windows 8.1i7 3.9 ghZ CPUNvidia GeForce GTX 760 2GB16 GB RAMNvidia Inspector Settings:http://imgur.com/OmXkhylMy FSX.CFG has been fine-tuned for AA problems, anything worth noting would just be Textures are set high (4046).Things I have tried:I tried setting the Frame Rate Limiter in FSX to Unlimited, a few people mentioned that could help, didn't seem to make a difference. I tried the A2A Piper 180 vs Carenado Cirrus SR22 and the FPS' were about the same. I tried changing a few Nvidia Inspector Settings to no affect.Any help would be much appreciated!Thanks,- Jace
January 12, 201511 yr As Jim noted, the two views are doubling the load. You are rendering the FSX world twice. It is an exact linear correlation in system load. You are much better off expanding your screen resolution through a single view, with double-monitor cockpit view. You can increase the resolution of FSX with far less impact because all the extra work will be done by the GPU and for the most part FSX is CPU limited, so the extra load is usually no sweat. But... doubling the world views means doubling the renders, which is like like running 2 instances of FSX, which will cripple the CPU. Ethan Edelson
