US Airways Flight 1549 Anniversary

Recommended Posts

Today is the 6th anniversary of US Airways Flight 1549, which landed in the Hudson, saving all 155 passengers and the crew (5).

I personally don't really care about anniversaries. But as an aviation enthusiast I always remember this accident ever since. I call it, like many people, a miracle in aviation history. It was just the right captain at the right time on the right place with the right weather conditions.

Captain Sullenberger was surely the right person, in the right place and at the right time. He and his FO did their job to perfection.

I remember learning about it in Air Crash Investigation (Documentry series).
