May 24, 200521 yr I suppose this is an appropriate time to say that my good friend and partner Sean had a horrible motorcycle accident about two hours after we released the SF260 new version, when a large dog jumped out on a dark road and Sean went clean over the top.Mercifully Sean suffered a broken arm, cuts and bruises and a bit of a shock but nothing life threatening. I'm sure everyone will want to send him good wishes as he awaits an operation at a Brisbane hospital.Until he's back on duty the website is a shadow of its former self. Thanks Tony for posting all that stuff.Meantime let me assure our loyal customers that everything is available as normal at www.realairsimulations.comGet well soon Sean!Rob Young Robert Young - retired full time developer - see my Nexus Mod Page and my GitHub Mod page
May 24, 200521 yr Wow, that sucks. Glad to hear he's going to be OK. That must have put a damper on the post-release celebrations... :(
May 24, 200521 yr Just interested to know if there is a refund policy at Real Air Simulations ? as haven't seen one published on the website..
May 24, 200521 yr >Just interested to know if there is a refund policy at Real>Air Simulations ? as haven't seen one published on the>website..>>Just interested to know what the relation is between this question and the original post ? as haven't seen one published in this reply..On a more relevant matter:Sean, I hope you get well soon !!Rob

May 25, 200521 yr >Just interested to know if there is a refund policy at Real>Air Simulations ? as haven't seen one published on the>website..>>Some people are all heart.....
May 25, 200521 yr I can't believe it. :-roll Yes, that's right...after about five years of providing superb products (really, some of the very, very best) and equally superb customer service, the truth about RealAir is finally revealed - it's all a scam!!! They're in it for the bucks! That's what it's all about! I can't believe we didn't see it. Just another bunch of evil, money-grubbing capitalismos is what they are! I mean just look what's going on here, they release this so called "update" to this supposedly wonderful "flightsim add-on" called the "SF260" and then sha-ZAAM! they shut down the website so nobody can see their corporate policies! Seeeeee? Sneaky sneaky! Well, now that I know the truth, my hard drive shall no longer be fouled by the fetid stench of any of "Rob & Sean's" nefarious creations. I shall remove them all poste haste!.....not
May 25, 200521 yr He, he....well put. The site is down because our provider moved the old site to a new server and deleted the new updated site, by mistake. Naturally we are somewhat unhappy with this and I've cobbled together a temporary site.We never did publish "terms" and neither do we have "policies". We simply design aircraft and if people want to buy them they do. We have only ever refunded three people in nearly four years, that's one per year, for reasons other than a mistaken double order or hardware which couldn't run our aircraft. Of those refunds it is usual US who insist on doing it, not the customer.I think some people are confusing corporate megalomania with two chaps who enjoy designing aircraft, with a few reasonably happy customers. Oh well. Our partnership is designed on trust. If we ripped off people they would never come back.Sorry to disappoint the chap further up the thread but there is no conspiracy. The site will be back to normal when Sean's broken bones are mended and he is back home. Meantime I'm sure he will log on with one working arm from the hospital and appreciate whatever good wishes come his way from the nice people here.Kind Regards,Rob Young Robert Young - retired full time developer - see my Nexus Mod Page and my GitHub Mod page
