Just upgraded my PC and OS.

Running win7x64.

Re-installed fs9. Now attempting to install AS6.5. The program wants to install dotnetfx.exe but it is not compatible with 7x64 - installation cancels.

Is there a solution?

That's the .Net framework V1.1, as I recall.  It can be installed on x64 systems if you run it from the right click "run as administrator" and ignore the various warnings.

Strange, strange, strange!!!!!

I downloaded the file from two different sites and both would not allow me to install.

I got the message that the file was not compatible with 7x64.

I then downloaded the file from a site called "filehippo" and followed your advice and hey presto it loaded.

Very strange!!!
