fsx/fsx-se? NEW PC! New to fsx! Please help me with settings.

Hello,

 

I would appreciate any help giving me to get my new PC the right settings in order for me to get maximum out of performance. I'm new to FSX as well as I'm new to the term "tweaks" which has to do with settings as far as I'm informed. 

 

New PC specs are: I7 4990K GTX 970 8 Gb ram. Thanks.

It can help you on your way and come to more specific questions that are more easy and direct to answer than explaining the whole process.

 

But keep in mind, tuning and tweaking a system differs for every hardware setup and addons you're using, so it always comes down to spending time to figure out what your system needs. People here can give you tips, but it's always a matter of trying to see how it works on your system and which you end up using and which not, and which values to use for certain tweaks and settings.

Totally agree with Maarten's comments above.  I use the settings shown in the guide and they work well for me.  Later on you can do some minor tweaking of the sliders.  I do not recommend tweaks.  Your system is powerful enough where you do not need tweaks to make it perform better.
