June 1, 200521 yr Hi,Active Camera is not our product, but this is not too difficult.1. Get FS9.0 running, no NoCD patch, like you admitted at the other forum.2. Install AC2.0 or install FS9.1. It doesn't matter which one.3. Install the one you did not install in #2.4. Lastly install the AC 2.0 Update. The update allows AC run with FS9.1, like some other programs after FS9.1 was released.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Sales and Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg
June 1, 200521 yr Thanks Jim.I am generally a cool headed guy.. Its just that I have spent 5 days in front of my computer installing everything and then having to reinstall Windows XP and then folks (who own this product) are either playing games.. or just not thinking this is worth their trouble in explaining properly. June 1, 200521 yr What about a patch they have called "AC2004patchFS9_1.zip" (DOWNLOAD Patch for Flight Simulator 9.1 )orwhich is different from "AC2004Update to AC2.0" (DOWNLOAD FIX for Active Camera 2.0) Wich one is in your step 4.http://www.anticyclone.be/preset.htm Manny Beta tester for SIMStarter
June 1, 200521 yr Hi,The patch is for everyone, the fix is for users who are having trouble with DirectInput.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Sales and Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg
June 1, 200521 yr Manny,"folks (who own this product) are either playing games.. or just not thinking this is worth their trouble in explaining properly."Your statement is unfair. At 47 I have no more time for playing games.I replied you in the forum and sent you 3 private e-mails explaining you how to proceed. In the last PM I even suggested you to have an online chat through Messenger."The install instructions on their web site is so inadequate.."On the main page of www.anticyclone.be everybody can read regarding the FS update to 9.1 "Install Active Camera 2004 version 2.0 then install the Active Camera patch for FS 9.1".What does this mean ? If FS 9.1 is installed you have to install both AC 2004 version 2.0 and the AC2004 patch for FS 9.1.Should FS 9.0 be installed then you simply have to install AC2004 version 2.0. That's it. Is it really a very cryptic documentation ?regards,
June 1, 200521 yr Hi Serge,Not a problem! Because of what you did for Damian and I, I have a pretty good idea about AC.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Sales and Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg
June 3, 200521 yr Thanks Guys..for everything. I finally got it working. For a clean install. Here are the Steps.1. Install FS9.0 2. Install FS9.1 UpdateOpen the Flight sim.. fly the default cessna exit normally.3. Install AC2.0 4. Install AC2004patchFS9_1.zip 5. If you are just demoing this...then bypass this step 5. (assuming you are in KSEA aiport. Cause the demo works only around KSEA Seattle airport). Otherwise, Go to ""Options->Active Camera->Register" to get the ID and send it off to AC to send you the key.6. Go to menu and select "Options->Active Camera->"Internal Pilot View". (If I remember correctly in AC1.1, this was selected by default. In 2.0 its not. So If you go to VC you may think the AC2.0 is not working). It is this option that gives the head latency. You should be able to go fly and have a good time with AC. Which is an awesome product )The next step 7 is optional7. If you have "9.1 noCD" exe just replace the FS9.1 exe. You do not have to do anything with AC2.1There is an "AC2004Update to AC2.0". Don't bother with this. Unless you have a problem with "direct input of something.. I have no clue what it it is. You may want to read the AC webpage. But do not confuse this with the install in step 4.
