spsreng.dll crash

Recommended Posts

Hi,

FYI: I've installed FS2Crew 1.3 via the migration tool

I don't know if this is related to the different sim version or even to FS2Crew, I've just read that this .dll file has to do something with the Windows voice recognition...

Here's the log from my event viewer:

Faulting application name: Prepar3D.exe, version: 2.4.11570.0, time stamp: 0x542314d3
Faulting module name: spsreng.dll, version: 8.0.7600.16385, time stamp: 0x4a5bdb16
Exception code: 0xc0000005
Fault offset: 0x0002707a
Faulting process id: 0x178c
Faulting application start time: 0x01d045f6ac2b8eab
Faulting application path: P:\Prepar3Dv2\Prepar3D.exe
Faulting module path: C:\Windows\System32\Speech\Engines\SR\spsreng.dll
Report Id: afa4fb21-b21e-11e4-9048-74d02b273b77

Any idea what went wrong?

regards,
Seb

Faulting module name: spsreng.dll ...

Maybe someone from FS2Crew has seen that error before and eventually can help you out. That's a library from the speech recognition built into Windows. I've never seen this error either, but its possible that your speech recognition profile has become corrupted somehow. If you don't get any additional help, go into the Windows Control Panel and search "speech". Go to advanced settings. Delete the profile and retrain the speech recognition engine.

My system should actually be fine!

I'll try to delete my profile, thanks for that tipp.

No further occurrences until now, so maybe just a one timer.
