Hi Carmel,

 

Sorry for the late reply, You can install SLX on a client PC and connect it to the server PC. SLX does not use FSUIPC nor Wide FS; it uses SimConnect. Please read chapter 3.2 of the user guide. If you still have questions after reading this chapter, please let me know.

No problem with late reply, it's perfect.

 

I have read this chapter many many times but when I want to connect client PC with sim connect, on the second question, FSX configuration folder it say, I cannot find simconnect.xml.

When I check on the server PC, simconnect is in this folder, but when I check in this folder on client PC simconnect doesn't appear. I think my client PC can't read this sim connect.xml folder.

I am very desappointing because I love this software and if I am able to install it on client PC I will be very happy.

Hi Carmel,

 

Please check the required folder shares on your simulator PC (the fourth item in chapter 3.2) and make sure that the user on your client PC has full access rights on these shares. If this does not solve the issue, please send me the [Documents]\SimLauncherX\SimLauncherX.Profiles.xml file, the [Documents]\SimLauncherX\SimLauncherX.FSX.Setting.txt file and the [Documents]\SimLauncherX\SimLauncherX.log file from your client PC.

Hello Maarten.

I have found the solutions of the maximum of my problems of installation. The only one that I have, is the connection with the FSX.

When I want to connect SLX of PC Client, I must go in the tab home,settings and change the network mode for IP version 6 and save. After I return in this way and I change this time network mode for IP version 4 save and SLX connect to FSX. It's not the very good way for connect.

On PC Server the connection with SLX is immediate when I execute SLXServer. The SLXServer on ClientPC does'nt connect.

 

Can you help me to find the solution, may be in the simconnect.xml on Server PC or simconnect.cfg on Client PC. I don't know.

Please send me the following (my e-mail address can be found on the front page of the user guide):

 

1. the [Documents]\SimLauncherX\SimLauncherX.log file from your client PC
2. the [Documents]\SimLauncherX\SimLauncherX.FSX.Settings.txt file from your client PC
3. the [Documents]\SimLauncherX\SimLauncherX.Profiles.xml file from your client PC
4. the %Appdata%\Microsoft\FSX\SimConnect.xml file from your server PC

 

P.S.: the SlxServer application is only needed on the server PC, it is of no use on your client PC

You can dowload from the Avsim library again and update that version to the latest one or use this link for version 5.7.6087.38961 which is the latest version as of today August 31 2016.

HI Maarten, the link to be able to download your Simlauncher program is no longer available. Is there another link that I could use to download it? I have never tried Simlauncher and would really want to do so. I'm looking for Simlauncher X for P3D v2.5
