February 28, 201511 yr I have received some good feedback on this forum concerning my search for a new CPU. However, I only fly the Carenado sr22, but I get stutters...I get smooth flying when using default planes. Can anyone fly the Carenado Sr22 / TBM 850 / Phenom 100 stutter free? If so, what is your CPU and GPU hardware?
March 1, 201511 yr Yeah but I turn down my other settings to make flying better. 2500k @4 ghz gtx 970 | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
March 1, 201511 yr Thanks...I have the exact same cpu / gpu. I just increased my cpu to 4 ghz. Lowered settings make no difference for me,
March 1, 201511 yr The one thing I've found is to drop textures to 1m. Basically I think my cpu just can't keep up with the loading. It seems different than FSX... So after that I still have lower-ish fps but it's pretty smooth. I don't lock fps in p3d and run windowed mode. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
March 1, 201511 yr Carenado glass cockpits seem usable but slow. I'm using a ninja PC ([email protected] overclock on water, dedicated P3D machine). So yeah, quite flyable but I don't - I use the steam gauge versions as I want to use the CPU horsepower elsewhere. Now the Carenado 337 - that's a good example fo framerate friendly aircraft. Love it! Btw, when I want glass I just add the G1000 ipad app by simionic. Works well with everything and no noticable framerate hit at all.
