March 6, 201511 yr I am new too the wx radar. I understand function of gain and tilt wheel, auto mode weather or weather and turbelence. What is the GC button do What does the TFR button do and what the MAP but on do ? I'm not sure if I'm miss in out on anything. Thanks for any help
March 6, 201511 yr You can google a RW wx radar manual to read a lot about this stuff. Short form: GC = Ground Clutter (= display/removal of ground returns; currently not implemented by PMDG) TFR = Transfer switch (currently not implemented by PMDG - IIRC ...) MAP = Mapping mode (= display of terrain and coastlines by means of the radar beams; currently not implemented by PMDG ... and not to be confused with the Terrain on ND function) BTW, in the PMDG fora full real names are required for your posts, please.
