June 18, 200520 yr Does anyone know a nice but simple NG cockpit easy on FPS for FS9?I would buy the PMDG seriously, but I probably wouldn't get my enjoyment out of it using the VC as it might hit my FPS too much.Daniel-Website link deleted by forum moderator
June 18, 200520 yr if you have a system like mine, you wont have any problems. I7-10700F RTX 3070 32 Gig Ram
June 18, 200520 yr You could try Kevin Sparkuhl's NG cockpit. It's payware but very reasonably priced and is excellent, and doesn't hog pc resources.
June 19, 200520 yr With the PMDG 737NG, you don't HAVE TO run with the VC as well. You can use it just with the '2D' view only if you want? But, If you have a slow P.C. then it's probably best you don't bother as the 'FMC' plans also have an effect on frame rates.Kevin Sparkul's panel, previously mentioned, was the one that I used and is excellent. You can even try it out before committing your money. Kevin is very rapid in following up any queries too.Dave T. .........On the lovely warm Devon Riviera and active 'FlightSim User's Group' member at http://www.flightsimgrpuk.free-online.co.uk/ Dave Taylor

June 27, 200520 yr >Sorry,>>I want a 737-NG Virtual Cockpit. Any around? I wasn't>clear...>>DanielHi Daniel...Maybe I can offer a little insight to your question because I get asked this a lot. When you say "virtual cockpit", what you're speaking of has to do specifically with the aircraft model and has nothing to do with the panel folder in your "aircraft container". In order for a "virtual cockpit" view to be seen, it has to be built into an aircraft model that you will be using. That's why some third party add-on aircraft don't have a virtual cockpit; they're not designed into the aircraft model. At the present, there is only one freeware 737 model that I know of that has a virtual cockpit modeled into it (737exp11.zip). If you want, you can use the gauges from another panel and edit them into a VC, but that requires some patience and some detailed editing of the panel.cfg... this way you can have similar gauges in both your 2-D and VC views. But the main thing to remember is to have something that is kind to your framerates when it's all said and done, and only you can determine that depending on how well your FS is tuned, while considering the limitations of your specific PC.Hope this helps you understand VC's a bit better.

You helped me anyway.I downloaded it and it is a good a/c but a little blurry on the gauges. Great for freeware and framrates!I am thinking to make a 777 VC since I have photos to model it off, but is it harder than I think? I am thinking to team up with someone which already has an a/c and to model it in to that, as an option or package. Can I make the gauges and detail quite sharp without hitting the FPS too much? Sounds like I am asking you to tickle my ears...... :-)Daniel
June 28, 200520 yr >Can I make the gauges and detail quite sharp without hitting>the FPS too much? Sounds like I am asking you to tickle my>ears...... :-)>>>DanielCertainly... but to fully answer that question would go well beyond the scope of a simple answer. If you're planning on building your own gauges, then I'd suggest to start out with a few simple ones at first and then build up to the more advanced ones.... get the feeling for it and learn from your mistakes.Good luck and have fun!
