I recently bought and installed this scenery ... on running it in the sim I am seeing areas where patches of default scenery are showing through as per my screenshot at:http://www.4shared.com/download/FZ_QTzKjba/AustriaAnomaly.PNG?lgfp=3000

 

any suggestions as to why this is happening appreciated ... by the way this is the dvd scenery of the whole country ...

Possible solution - Delete/Rebuild your Facilities/Scenery Indexes and Shader Folders – These are temporary folders and should be deleted periodically (they will be rebuilt):

 

Facilities/Scenery Indexes are located in LockHeed Martin\Prepar3D v2 for the indexes. Delete the Facilities and Scenery folders. They will be rebuilt. There is a Shaders folder in C:\Users\(your username)\AppData\LockHeed Martin\Prepar3D v2 folder which should be removed. When you restart P3D, these temporary folders will be rebuilt.

Hi Jim ....  many thanks for your response ... tried what you suggest but to no avail ...at the outset I couldn't install the scenery direct to my FS PC so did so on my laptop which has a 'stand-by' copy of FSX installed and copied across ... just run FSX on it and same problem so I think perhaps a return to the supplier might be in order ... you will not believe the lengths I had to go to to get a capture on the laptop to support my complaint ... for some unknown reason my throttle would not respond properly, kept backing off so I had to waggle the slider constantly to keep the revs up and the plane in the air... then I put on 'mouse look' by pressing spacebar and couldn't get it off .... so trying to move the cursor down to the task bar to select the snipping tool completely lost me the image I wished to capture ... all part of life's rich pageant as I'm always saying ...

You can have a copy of FSX/Acceleration installed on up to two PC's.

 

Sorry my solution did not work. I was hoping eliminating the old shader and texture folders would solve the problem.

thought you might like to know I cracked the problem ... the more I chewed it over the more convinced I became it was something to do with landclass ... the package adds 7 entries to the scenery library one of which is entitled L/C ... so deactivated that and problem solved ... it really is an excellent piece of work once seen as it should be, and it tempts me to invest in its sister package covering Switzerland(need to auction off some of the family silver as it ain't cheap) which would give me a pretty extensive area of coverage ... making all my Orbx stuff redundant ... tried both types of scenery and keep coming back to photo stuff ... the Austria and Switzerland packages are an excellent proposition as you get colour correction, comprehensive autogen, night textures and 2 seasons ....
