March 31, 201511 yr I am running out of space on my Asus G55V notebook , currently 750GB and I'm considering getting a Samsung ST2000LM003 2TB as a replacement. I don't know about the compatibility and cloning kit requirements. Any advice appreciated. Ron Ron Service .
March 31, 201511 yr Compatibility will be fine. However, the 750GB you have can go up to 7200RPM, and the Samsung replacement is capped at 5400RPM. You'll gain marginal battery life, but the disk will be slower. Any fairly recent universal SATA cloning kit will do the trick.
