Configuring keystrokes to functions??

Featured Replies

Hi,I purchased the Flight1 Cessna 172 and have a minor issue. I have posted three times on their support site, many people read the post but no one had a solution. I am hoping someone here may have an idea as it may pertain to any planes configuration.I am looking for any possible solution to allow me to to toggle dme between nav1 and nav2 with a key stroke. Is there a config entry that can be made. Right now I can only change it via a mouse click on the panel. The default dme key stroke in MS FS does nothing on the Flight1 Cessna and setting up a keystroke via FSUIPC does nothing either. All other items in the 172 can be turned on/off with either default MS FS keystrokes or via FSUIPC. I have a hardware panel I made to control all cockpit functions and this is the only one that can't be configured.Any help would be greatly appreciated.Thank you,Tom

Tom, do you have any other planes where this does work?If so, I'd suggest copying the working gauge over to the C172 panel, either somewhere visible, or off to the side where you can not see it.With some luck, that will do the trick. If you own the RealAir SF260, it has a very pretty and versatile DME gauge that will fit into almost any panel.. I've used it for the C441 where it looks like it belongs..

Thanks Bert,So it seems the keystroke control is built into the gauge? I will find a working one and try your suggestion.Thank you for your help,Tom
