How do I assign TOGA and A/T disengage to buttons using FSUIPC?

Featured Replies

DT button? Whats that? Hmm.. That's good to know that it is possible.

I would have to create a profile for 737 separate from my 777

The Dt function is described in the FSUIPC guide, so below is the same but in my own words.

Yes, you would create a profile for each aircraft you fly.

Basically, when you click on the Dt button you get an extra "SET" button that allows you to tell FSUIPC to send a certain flap setting command for each flap lever detent.

On the flap calibration page (page 6 of the joystick calibration tab) click Dt.

A new/third "SET" button should appear now.

FSUIPC automatically knows that you are calibrating 7 flap settings because you are calibrating 777 profile specific.

These flap positions are called 0,1,2,3,4,5,6 in FSUIPC and are displayed just above the "SET" buttons after you clicked Dt.

First I allways set the flaps up and flaps 30 position......range is a better word actually.

Flaps up corresponds to the FSUIPC "0" position.

Set the flap lever just before the flaps up notch and hit the left "SET" button.

(just before, to make sure the flaps up command is sent also if the raw signal is a little less then the max/min value.....on my system I dont allways reach -16384 and +16384 perfectly so I tell FSUIPC to give the flaps up command from -15298 and the flaps up command from +12469.......these values are just for clarification as your values can/will be different because I dont have a jetmax)

Then set the flap lever just before the 40 position (if you want flaps 30 to be commanded at the max range of the lever) or just before 30 (if you want flaps 30 to be commanded from the 30 position......at both the 30 and 40 position). Hit the right "SET" button and from now on the "6th" position will send the flaps up command.

Then calibrate the flaps 1 range.(FSUIPC "1" position).

#1 should he displayed above the "SET" buttons, indicating you are calibrating the first intermediate flap setting.

Simply set the flap lever just before the flaps 1 detent and hit the middle "SET" button (this sets a value in the top/middle field).

Then set the flap lever just after the flaps 1 detent and click the middle "SET" button again (this sets a value in the lower/middle field)

You have now established a flap lever range for the 777 flaps 1 command.

Then you have to click on the little up arrow before you can calibrate the 777 flaps 5 range.

#2 should be displayed above the "SET" buttons now.

When you then set the flap lever just before the 737 flaps 2 detent and just after the 737 flaps 5 detent, while clicking "SET" again at both positions, you will have defined the 777 flaps 5 command will be given at both the 737 flaps 2 and 5 position :-)

Next up is the FSUIPC "3" position which lets you define the 777 flaps 15 range.

Dont forget to click the little up arrow each time you want to calibrate the next flap setting!

Then "4" for flaps 20 range,

"5" for flaps 25 range.

Done :-)

Hope this helps.

Thank you Rob for such a detailed explanation. This weekend I will set this up. Thank you very much.
