April 6, 201511 yr Help, I am trying to set up a flight from KAMA-KJAC on the FMC and am getting an invalid entry message when I try to set up the route. My question is can I not set up different flight plans using the pmdg737ngx or am I limited in some way or am I being stupid and not doing something right in trying to set up the FMC? I tried to different airports and still get invalid entry in route setup. The KAMA-KJAC route has like 25 waypoints using airways etc. I would appreciate any help. Thanks Lewis Block

Posting the route would've helped immensely, so if you still have it, post it up when you get a chance. Beyond that, it's probably user error. If you're copying the route from a site like FlightAware, the route is compliant with the current nav data. If you're using old nav data, this could cause a problem. The flipside is also true: if you're using an old route with current nav data, it could cause an issue. My bet is that it's an airway-point mistmatch (the point doesn't match up with the airway). It might also be that you're entering a point in the airway spot (which is common when people don't know about NRS Waypoints). Kyle Rodgers
April 6, 201511 yr Author You are right, I was trying to enter waypoints on left side of FMC. Entered on right of FMC and it showed direct and loaded the flight path and then entered the speeds and altitudes. Amazing when the idiot punching the keys does it right. Having fun now. Thanks foryour response. Lewis Block
