April 8, 201511 yr Running fine with the current 347.88 WHQL. However, you might still need to manually set the 'Threaded optimization' to off if you want to get rid of small stutters. Other than that, no issues to report. Me too is running the GTX970.
April 17, 201511 yr Can report that the 'GTA' driver (350.12 WHQL) also works fine. Just in case you like to fly.. other planes. ^_^

July 10, 201510 yr In april the 347.88 WHQL seemed to be the correct choice...... Any advice?? Unless specific problems are reported, you can always go with the latest (final!) driver release. Those should be the WHQL ones. That is, if you are in need for having current drivers because you are playing other games too. Lets say Witcher, GTA V and so on. If you are on X-Plane only, the new drivers won't deliver many improvements, if any. Sometimes, but rarely, they also introduce some trouble. (Note: this trouble was solved by the XP devs already) So in that single application usage scenario, it's reasonable to stay with the driver you are currently running unless new ones would improve things significantly. There's no 'magic' driver available. Anecdotal reference: I'm on 353.30 WHQL which is working fine and also allows for my other games to perform adequately.
