FSX with 737NGX, always CTD

Featured Replies

Hello there,

I'm running the 737NGX FSX:SE, on a windows 8.1 computer, with the latest version installed.

I'm always able to load a game, or start a new one from the start screen, but every time I try to load a new game, when I'm already ingame, the program always gets a fatal error and crashes.

Anything I can do to fix this?

If you are talking about loading a second load of the NGX, IE: different livery, type, or a second

flight with the NGX as the plane, where one had been loaded previously in that sim session, I

would consider that normal, and nothing you can really do about it.

I've never been able to load the NGX a second time, once it's been loaded a previous instance.

Just the nature of the beast..

I don't get a fatal error if I try it, but the plane won't fully load, missing textures or gauges, etc,

if I try to load the NGX a second time.  I always have to restart the sim to load a new NGX type.

Being I fly several different variations, liveries, this is one reason why I don't use the NGX for

my startup flight. If I do that, I'm stuck with that particular NGX plane and can't change to a

different one. So my startup flight loads with the trike.

Always, always restart FSX before loading any PMDG aircraft the second time.  You can load a PMDG aircraft over a default airplane session but not another PMDG session.
