Question about Nvidia Control Panel Shader Cache Option and P3D

Recommended Posts

I have noticed that there is a shader cache option in the NVidia Control Panel to save CPU usage by caching the shaders on disk. Is this necessary for performance gains since P3D is already caching the shaders??

After looking at the shader cache folders in both temp folders they appear to be empty, so as Rob Ainscough commented on in a topic at the p3d forum, it don't appear to work.
