altitude callouts on payware

Featured Replies

Hi everyone, sorry for posting this in the general forum, but I think the payware support section doesn't have anything about the Ready For Pushback 747-200. I'm considering buying it, and before I fork out the hefty 44 euros, I wanted to know this: are there proper altitude callouts, starting at 2500 ft? Glideslope warnings? Pull up pull up etc? Or is it like many freeware planes that add the FPDA callout gauge that starts counting down at 400 ft. I'd appreciate input from people who already have the RFP 747. Thanks.

I'm sure an owner will pipe in, but unless I'm sadly mistaken classic 74s don't have automated calls...regards,MarkXPHomeSP2/FS9.1/3.2HT/1GIG/X700pro256

The S/O carried out these duties and did the altitude calls on approach. This being said, the Classic did have a GPWS that gave the following warnings.-Excessive Sink Rate-Excessive Terrain Closure Rate-Descent after takeoff-Terrain clearance too low and not in landing configurationBelow Glodeslope warnings were provided as well. This being said, the RFP base package only has the 'minimums' call so you must use Classic S-Combo(Free for the RFP add-on) to get all of the relevant check lists and altitude and speed calls. Here is the RFP web site with a forum as well:http://www.panelshop.com/Cheers,JohnBoeing 727/737 & Lockheed C-130/L-100 Mechanichttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/ng_driver.jpg

And if all of that fails, you might consider installing my FREEWARE addon (file: rcbgp-20.zip); which does all of the above, and more.Although some people seem to prefer to pay for such addons; probably because using payware, sounds more interesting :-)Cheers, Rob

I loved your GPWS gauge for the Projectfokker Fokkers, but I failed to properly understand how to install it on other planes. I'm no computer magician but I've learnt how to do most aircraft.cfg modifications to achieve the desired effect. When I tried to intall the gauge as detailed in the readme, it added a small black window to the panel but no altitude callouts. I'd give a more detailed description of what I did / didn't do, but alas, I forget...
