I can't start the engines without hitting control E. I am following the start up procedure but no luck. I removed and reinstalled but same problem.

Is it by chance the Epic you're talking about? If it is, I had the same 'problem'. I thought it could have been a really nice aircraft if they had put a bit more effort into it. For that reason I simply Ctrl+Ed it while I did use it. Binned now.

I figured it out.  It was a problem with a mixture axis on my Ch Yoke.  This is an exceptional plane.  If anyone is thinking about getting it I say go for it!
