I just finished building and setting up my new rig and wanted to start with some descent addons to make the sim look better.

I wanted to take advantage of the sale and get Global, Vector, OpenLC and maybe a couple of airports.

Since I have read here or somewhere else that OrbX airports add a bunch of DLL entries to the DLL.XML file

and seeing that it could potentially stress the sim I was wondering if there was an installation option to disable

all these extras that affect the simulator or can one go an edit the DLL.XML and remove these entries so one can

keep a "clean" sim.

They have changed to a single .DLL approach for most of the airports. There are some that have not been updated and would still have their own .DLL file.

 

I've not seen much of any commenting about overload from the old way of doing things and doubt I'd worry about the few stragglers waiting to be updated.
