Does anyone run their own finances with Flight sim?

Doesn't FSeconomy give you all of those every flight?

 

Actually if you buy a plane inside FSeconomy you can print out every bean you ever spent on it including servicing

yes, FSE does lots of stuff like that.

 

However, flying is severely limited in FSE.

 

I like simulating airplane rides and sightseeing tours (flying around Golden Gate bridge, etc). While technically you CAN do that in FSE it will not recognize it as a means to generate income. I would like to be able to generate income from those type of flights.

 

The biggest offense FSE does in my opinion is the fact that income is per seat and not based on the hour as in the real world.

For example in FSE if I load up one passenger I might make say $450 gross depending on how far they are traveling. So if I load up three passengers I will now make $1350 for the same trip. This is not how real-world charters work. You would pay $x per hour depending on the plane used no matter if there is one, two or three or more passengers in your plane. And that brings up another thing I don't like about FSE. That price is the same no matter if I'm flying that passenger in a C172 or on a Citation X. In the real world, this would NOT be the case.

 

Many other things as well.

I've worked on iterations of this in the past, and it has always turned out to be a monster in the end. Meaning it is so much work that I do more paperwork than actual flying. That's funny, that is probably more real life than what I realize.
