Looking for nice AI traffic contrails

Recommended Posts

In FSX I had FsContrails which added extra realism to the MyTraffic AI aircraft.

With P3Dv2 I rarely see a contrail.

Anyone has nice looking contrails behind the AI aircraft ?

Yes, see them almost every flight, but does depends on weather conditions ... I'm only running 20% AI.

Skip to the 4:19 mark you'll see a nice AI contrail (I am using PrecipitFX but they just change the contrail visuals not their activate triggers).   If you skip to the 6:04 mark you'll see that not all AI will have contrails.

Cheers, Rob.

Thanks Rob. Nice vid as always.

I saw the contrail.

In FSX I used Contrails Pro. It was configurable : from which altitude the contrails appeared / just one or one per engine

All AI aircraft flying higher than the choosen altitude ( mostly 20000 ft in the winter / 25000 ft in the summer ) had beautifull contrails...

I have seen much more than just one ... trying to remember my airport at the time.  Just pick a location close to high alt airway that has many intersections and watch the AI do their thing.

hey Rob that's the GTN 650/750? ...any frames issues?

No FPS issues with GTN 750 1.08c.  It's multicore aware so will thread accordingly so as to not load up primary core 0 ... it's very good on VAS too.

Good to know ...i am thinking to get it I just not sure about airplanes install/use  limitations...works with everything? Is 64$ for both or only one?

$65 for just one.

It'll work with any aircraft, but if you want an "integrated" look that aircraft provider will have to make that happen unless you want to try your hand at making your own panel modifications.
