June 25, 200421 yr Good way to start the weekend, Thanks.Stephen,http://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg
June 25, 200421 yr Thanks, I liked that! Good way to start the weekend indeed, which couldn't go bust anyway on account of our town council having gone into summer recess today, so all us hardworking (eeeevil grin!) petty politicians have two full months of vacation now. I'm looking forward to lots and LOTS of flightsimming, especially with the new MAAM DC3 and the almost equally new "Shack" from the Shackleton Project. They're not in the same overall class, of course (hardly ANYTHING can beat the products of the MAAM Sim team), but if you overlook the glaring deficiencies of the Shack 2D main panel (or correct and customize it, like I did), you've got a highly enjoyable heavy four-propper, with flight dynamics that are top class indeed.I've already informed my hairy co-pilot, a lazy black cat named Bess, that we will be doing a lot of flying together the next two months. She likes to lie in my lap, and purringly comment on my qualities (or lack of same) as a pilot. Wide open skies: here we come!Jaap Verduijn.
June 25, 200421 yr Jaap, is this you: http://www.angelfire.com/nv2/solipsist/jaapverduijn.jpgAnd if so can you tell me more about: Ifa/Orisha? But if not have a good 2 months of flying!!Carmine http://ftp.avsim.com/dcforum/Images/wave.gif
June 26, 200421 yr Greetings Carmine!Yep, sadly enough that's my obnoxious bonce (grin)! As for Ifa/Orisha: have a go at http://www.ifachurch.com where you'll find some of the basics. I'm slowly retiring from that part of my public life though: if my students by now can't stand on their own two legs, they never will (wide and wicked grin)! Thanks for your wish, I'll be flying my sim a LOT, and looking mightily forward to it!Be well!Jaap Verduijn.
June 26, 200421 yr and don't forget the basic rules of flying1. Try to stay in the middle of the air.2. Do not go near the edges of it.3. The edges of the air can be recognized by the appearance of ground, buildings, sea, trees and interstellar space. It is much more difficult to fly there. Scott
