July 9, 200520 yr I wonder if there could be any reason for me to buy the new B1900C if you take this into consideration,I have decided to get the Aeroworx Beach King B200. If I understand things correctly these are very similary planes. I'm here thinking about the realworld planes. Is not a B1900 basically an enlarged B200?I already have B1900D and I was somewhat disappointed. But I understand that the B1900C is much improved compared to B1900D.Is it possible that I could like the B1900C if I didn't quiet liked B1900D?

The 1900C has a full virtual cabin (which the 1900D lacks), two different cargo models in addition to the pax hauler, and some other small improvements (I only own the C, so I can't make a direct comparison). The 1900s are from the PMDG Express line, which is supposed to be somewhat "simpler" than other products. The Aeroworx King Air is, from what I understand (don't own it, either) marketed more at "hard-core" simmers who want as much detail as possible. I find the 1900C to be a very complete package and a very good value for the price.
July 9, 200520 yr I don't have the KA200, but I do have the B1900 C and D. When I got the D, I heavily modified the panel to get it useable, for me. It is a fine airplane, though, and I used it a lot. Then, the C hit the scene. The C is improved in a lot of ways, and has the pax version, the cargo version, and the freight version, all of which I use for different routes. I have retired the D, but, like an old friend left behind, I remember it fondly. I use the C a lot now, and I am glad I got it.
July 9, 200520 yr I have the King Air B200 and the 1900C, and they're two different animals. The 1900C is pretty simplified in terms of systems; it's more of a "jump in and fly" sort of plane. However, that does NOT mean that it's bad! I like it quite a bit and fly it on short cargo hops for UPS Virtual. It's got an excellent FDE and looks *great* outside. The 2D and virtual cockpits are well done, much improved from the 1900D with a lot of custom gauges (although they do still use quite a few gauges from the stock FS2004 King Air 350).The King Air is a much more sophisticated bird. It's got the good looks of the 1900C, but also has a great deal of time put into the plane's avionics and other systems. For example, the King Air models pressurization; the 1900C doesn't. The King Air's avionics are much more sophisticated than the 1900C's analog "steam gauge" panel. The 200 has a built-in maintenance module that tracks hours on the engines, tire tread, oil, things like that, and makes you keep maintenance up on the plane or you'll have bad things happen. The 1900C doesn't.They're aimed at different markets and for different things. If you do get the 200, you may not need the 1900C; on the other hand, it's a relatively small investment for the 1900C, and it's a pretty good product standing on its own.Lewis "Moose" GregoryRichmond, Virginia Lewis "Moose" Gregory Durham, North Carolina

Somewhat morethorough documentation would have been appreciated.
July 10, 200520 yr The C documentation is enough to let you fly the airplane. There is not anything beyond that. Nothing to bust oral evals over.
July 10, 200520 yr Wanted to correct something I said here; the 1900D does in fact have a virtual cabin. My statement that it did not was erroneous. Sorry about that.
