Mountains / Hill Close Ups

Featured Replies

I have UT USA and Canada / Alaaska.Anybody notice that when you are at an airport that has mountains and / or hills the graphics are pretty bad. It appears to me that FS is taking the scenery from a higher elevation where it looks great and blowing up when the A/C is on the ground. Is there textures that can be used to make these mountain / hill more realistic.See attached image

If I understand what you are saying, that has nothing to do with Ultimate Terrain. It would do that whether you had UT installed or not. Matt

Yes, I understand, I was wondering if there were replacement textures for the close up graphics of the mountains and hill to make them look more realistic from the ground. Thanks!Barry

Barry,I don't think so. This is the nature of the FS - the closer you are to the ground the blurrier it gets. It would be a mjaor leap in technology if this issue was solved. But then the hardware would have to be able to keep up with huge amount of data transfer.Michael J.WinXP-Home SP2,AMD64 3500+,Abit AV8,Radeon X800Pro,36GB Raptor,1GB PC3200,Audigy 2http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/747400.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_beta_member.jpg

Hi Michael,It just seems like it would just be a different type of texture image when on the ground..Thanks!Barry
