Unable to read scenery.cfg

Featured Replies

Hello,

When I try to access the scenery library within the sim, I get a message saying that the program was not able to read C:\ProgramData\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v2\scenery.cfg to write. I am not able to access my full scenery.cfg in my sim, I've looked for fixes already. My regional language setting is set to English (United States), the security has full control on the file...anybody else know what I can do?

Thanks!

Sounds like you do not have user access to the file. You are suppose to turn off any anti-virus for P3D and disable User Access Controls so security will not stop you from using your flight simulator.

Go to the P3D Folder in your Windows Explorer. Find Prepar3D.exe and right click on it and select properties. Once open, click on the compatibility tab and make sure it states it will always start up with Admin Privileges at the bottom of the tab. Click okay and go fly.
