Hi guys...   anyone figured out how to toggle the COM standby freq on the FMS ?

 

.... oh , and also how to set the 'FL Alert' to on in the REFS page... (or is this the 1000' to go sound that is already on?)

The radio head is used to switch between primary and standby frequencies... Despite the FMS having the ability to tune the radio, it is not a replacement for the radio head's core functionality.

 

FL Alert means it will alert you when you hit transition altitude going up as well as coming down.

Tried to fly on Vatsim and tune in the radios to appropriate controllers...  the radios tune to the frequency but no transmission takes place.   I tried switching aircraft and all works fine with  'VPilot' and controllers can hear me ok...

but when in the Hawker the radios don't work.

 

I then put the default radio stack in to the Hawker files as a popup and it pops up ok but when trying to change frequency it seems to work in a bizarre manner...  rolling the digits on the preset side actually rolls the digits on the active side ????  never seen this happen on any aircraft before..

 

It seems like some logic for the radios is screwed.   It seems there are so many problems that flying in Vatsim is next to impossible.

 

I think with all the jets that Carenado are bringing out they should test them all by making a variety of ATC controlled flights in Vatsim...   really shows up the snags and faults.

 

 

With the 'FL Alert'  setting I mentioned earlier is there a way to permanently set it ...   as when I set it on,  it immediately reverts back to off when I come out of that setting screen. (not really important though)
