I have Active Sky NG, and was wondering if there is any advantage to using the soft clouds, or are they just duplicating what Active Sky does?  

Rex Soft Clouds is a texture replacement software for clouds, Active Sky Next just tells the sim where to place those clouds that you're replacing with Soft Clouds. I highly recommend them they look fantastic.
