In the 3-D cockpit view, when I hover over the heading or course knobs and turn my mouse wheel, instead of the course or heading change, the panel zooms forward or back?  What am I doing wrong?  There must be a trick that I can't seem to figure out.

 

I have flown FSX for many years and am now just switching to x-plane.  Can't seem to find the answer in the manual or by goggling.

Click and drag instead of using the scrollwheel. Scrollwheel is just supportet in a few payware planes. I think there is also a plugin, but i'm not sure...

Thanks for the response.  The click and drag didn't work on my system, but for some reason, I experimented and found if I hover over the knob and press down my left mouse button and keep it down, the headings/courses change.  Not necessarily intuitive, but thru trial and error I got it to work.
