Flying into Lancaster, PA a small branch of the weather system that was over most of PA over the weekend met us while on the RNAV 31 into KLNS. You can see how the clouds start engulfing the approach path and the runway becomes difficult to see with all the rain and fog. Producing some minor downdrafts, one of which gave us a bit of a scare.

 

The lesson was clear, be cautious any time thunderstorms are reported. They can and could sneak up on you.
