"Preset" vd "saved" weather in ASN / FSX ?

Recommended Posts

I am running ASN in FSX and I have a question about saving and re-using my personalised weather scenarios (clouds/winds/turbolence), in Manual mode (obviously).

I understand that in principle it should be possible to use the "save" and "load" buttons to do exactly this, but while I can succesfully save my manual scenarios (a file with extension .wx appears in the default folder), I don't seem to be able to load it.

So I am n Manual Weather Modo window (page 29 manual document), enter my home airport, I edit weather as I like, I save it as weather file (.wx), exit ASN.

Run ASN again, go back to Manual Weather Mode and try load previously saved weather (hit save, select my saved file, OK).... nothing happen.

What am I missing?

Also, I don't understand what is the difference between saved weather and "preset weather". I can load "preset" conditions succesfully.

can I save a new "preset" condition myself?

Many thanks if you can help me on this one!
