Hi,does anyone know of any good valleys etc to fly through for low level practise please, such as in wales, can you give me an idea as to where to start the flight from so that I can try it out.thanks,

Start at Caernarfon and head south the Beddgelert. Turn east towards Pen-y-Gwryd. At that point the valley splits and you can either turn north up the Llanberis Pass or continue east to Capel Curig. Again at Capel Curig the valley splits and you can turn north towards Bethesda or continue east to Betws-y-coed then exit north towards Conwy and Llandudno.Best with the VFR Terrain for realism. SRTM meshes just aren't frightening enough.

You could try this.Start from RAF Valley on Anglesey. Head north-east and make landfall at Morecambe. Then head due north and you're in the Lake District. Get down onto the deck and follow the A591 from Windemere through Thirlmere to Keswick. Whack past Skiddaw on your right then left turn over Derwent Water and either follow the B5289 west over the Honister Pass into Buttermere or south west into Wast Water. Then back out over the sea and due south, over the Isle of Man and home for tea and cakes.(To anyone holidaying in the Lakes, Thirlmere is great place to watch the RAF at play)Over and outIan

Thanks Very Much Both of you.I will try both of you're routes in the new DSB Design Harrier, with the other two New add-ons as well, FS Terrain and Roads and Rivers of Europe, should look good with both of these as well.Steve,

SteveLike Bones says - you really should get VFR Terrain if at all possible (available from www.horizonsimulation.com) - it's the best UK mesh available and includes free photo scenery for the Lakes as well. It'll blow your socks off.Happy flyingIan
